Nancy Sue (Carraway) Miller, 85, Sheridan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday May 23, 2023. She was born in Cicero on February 4, 1938, to the late Frank Warren and Mary Virginia (Nelson) Carraway.
Nancy was a 1956 graduate of Jackson Central High School in Cicero.
Nancy had worked as a proofreader for the Frankfort Morning Times, as a dispatcher for the Monon Railroad, and as a Buyer’s Assistant for Kroger. It was at Kroger where she met Jack Miller, the love of her life. They were married on May 29, 1977.
Nancy had a love for books, animals, antiques, conversation, drives through the country, and most importantly her family.
Nancy leaves behind Timothy (Karen) Tolley of Urbana, Ill., Matthew (Debby) Tolley of Westfield, Onda (Marty) Moran, Christopher Miller, Gail (Russ) Locker, Sherie (Kevin) Miller, Jane (Jeff) Day, and Randy (Toni) Miller. Nancy was a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a friend.
Preceding Nancy in death are her husband, Jack Edward Miller; son, Mark Andrew Tolley; daughter, Mary Jennifer (Wallace) Tolley; grandson, Brett Warren Tolley; sister, Jane (Carraway) Christman; and her mother and father.
Services for Nancy will be private, but the family would like to thank everyone for their condolences. In memory of Nancy, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Hamilton County or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
