Marilyn A. (Gates) Jordan, 89, Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on May 30, 1936, to George and Lucia (McWethy) Gates in Dixon, Ill. Marilyn attended North Central College and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Education. She worked as a teacher for many years, positively impacting the youth she served. Following her teaching career, Marilyn pursued an executive assistant position at Wheaton College for over a decade.
Marilyn’s formative years began on a farm where she resided with her family, having many adventures with her siblings.
