Nancy Lou Householder

October 26, 1942 – November 15, 2023

Nancy Lou Householder, 81, Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. She was born on October 26, 1942, to C. Victor and Vera (Witcraft) Degarmo in Janesville, Wis.

Nancy graduated from Janesville High School where she participated in water ballet. She also enjoyed figure skating in her younger years. Nancy has been a member of First Christian Church in Noblesville for many years. She provided administrative assistance for the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater, Wis., and for 14 years at the Hamilton County Courthouse. Nancy liked to play Bridge, play tennis with friends, and was an avid traveler, enjoying many cruises and adventures with her family. Nancy never missed her boys’ games or events as they were growing up.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Howard Householder; sons, Chadmon Householder and Ryan (Deanna) Householder; sister, Vicki (Mark) Degarmo-Jackson; brother, Bruce (Tamara) Degarmo; nephew, Bob (Sharon) Naatz; niece, Deb (Doug) Brookins; step-grandchildren, Gage and Lila; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Verne Degarmo; and sister, Wilma Naatz.

Services will be held at noon on Friday, December 8, 2023, at First Christian Church of Noblesville, 16377 Herriman Blvd., Noblesville, with Rev. Dr. Brooks Barrick officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the church.
