Guerin Catholic got a nice Circle City Conference win on the road Friday, beating Covenant Christian 51-42.
The Golden Eagles slowly built their lead, going up 12-9 after one quarter and 23-18 at halftime. Guerin Catholic eventually led 35-23 in the third quarter before the Warriors came back to within 36-28 by the end of the period. But the Golden Eagles added another 15 points in the fourth, and in fact outscored Covenant in each of the four quarters.
Robert Sorensen led the GC scoring with 14 points, while Dylan Murans had 13 points. Bryson Cardinal collected five rebounds and Jack Cherry dished out four assists.
Guerin Catholic is 2-1 in conference play and 8-5 overall. The Golden Eagles are back home tonight to host Herron.
