Superintendent Douglas G. Carter has announced to promotion of 13-year Indiana State Police Veteran Terry “Josh” Watson to the position of Investigations Squad Leader at the Indianapolis District.

Sergeant Watson is a 1999 graduate of Blue River Valley High School. Upon graduation Josh went onto Ball State University where he studied History and Criminal Justice. Watson was accepted into the 64th recruit academy where he completed his training in October 2004.

After graduating the academy, Josh was assigned to the Indianapolis District where he patrolled Marion County until 2008. He then transferred to the Pendleton District to patrol Hamilton County. He is also a nationally certified Krav Maga Instructor.

Sergeant Watson’s new leadership role will include the supervision of the Indianapolis District Detectives, reviewing case reports submitted by troopers and assisting other agencies with investigations.
