Smoke-free Hamilton County will be at Westfield Middle School today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for The Great American Smokeout, an annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
Students will bowl with frozen turkeys in hopes of knocking down cigarette pins. There will also be cigarette packs decorated to discourage smoking and vaping, a question and answer session where students will be answering some questions about smoking and a banner they will be filling with brightly colored post-its with how they can support someone to make the decision to quit.
