The Franciscan Health Foundation will be hold its annual Party with a Purpose event, featuring a Songwriter Showcase on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Daniel’s Family Vineyard and Winery, 9061 N. County Road 700 West, McCordsville.
New in 2025, Grammy winner Gordie Sampson performs for the first time at Party with a Purpose along with returning favorites Tommy Karlas and Victoria Banks.
After moving to Nashville, Sampson co-wrote “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” Carrie Underwood’s recording of the song was number one on the Billboard Country Music Chart for six weeks, earning Sampson his first Grammy for Best Country Song, and awarded 2006 Song of the Year by the Country Music Association.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Dr. H.O. “Buzz” Hickman Fund for Cardiac Excellence at Indiana Heart Physicians (IHP). Charitable donations to the Hickman Fund help provide opportunities for continuing education and professional development for IHP team members, screenings for early detection of heart disease, community education on maintaining heart health and assistance helping patients secure equipment needed to monitor heart health at home.
“We are fortunate to have another group of amazing artists again this year at the Party with a Purpose,” Franciscan Health Foundation Central Indiana Executive Director Greg Williamson. “Gordie Sampson is going to put on a great show and having Tommy Karlas and Victoria Banks return is fantastic as well. We have an outstanding venue at Daniel’s Family Vineyard and Winery and are thrilled to be raising money for such a worthy cause.”
The concert is inspired by Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Cafe, regarded as one of the music industry’s pre-eminent listening rooms. Performing at the Bluebird helped launch the careers of Keith Urban, Vince Gill, and Taylor Swift.
Party with a Purpose brings the Nashville vibe to the Indianapolis area each year by introducing talented writers and musicians behind the polished sounds heard on the radio.
General seating on the lawn is free. Gates will open at 5 p.m., with a VIP/Sponsor reception at 6 p.m. and the concert starting at 7 p.m.
Individual all-inclusive VIP tickets can be purchased and include chef-prepared food, wine, mixed drinks and reserved seating for the concert as well as an artist meet and greet. VIP tickets are $300 per person.
