Fishers-based Round Room surprises seven nonprofits with $1.7M in grants

Round Room, one of the nation’s largest Verizon Authorized Retailers based in Fishers, held a sales rally for wireless retailer TCC Monday through Wednesday at The Westin Indianapolis, bringing hundreds of TCC employees and guests to Indianapolis.

However, the most exciting part of the event took place on Tuesday evening when Round Room Gives presented surprise “Mega Grant” donations to seven local nonprofits, ranging from a youth development organization to domestic violence housing, that totaled $1.7 million.

The seven nonprofits are:

Representatives from each local nonprofit were on-site to receive the donations, but each nonprofit assumed that only one organization would receive a $100,000 grant from Round Room Gives. Everyone was overjoyed when they learned that each received $100,000 plus a $60,000 transportation allowance, which they can use to purchase vehicles or on additional transportation needs.

DREAM Alive was also chosen as the grand prize winner, receiving an additional check for $580,000.
