Southeastern hires Drew Tower as new co-athletic director

The REPORTER

Drew Tower has been hired as one of the co-athletic directors at Hamilton Southeastern High School.

Tower’s hiring was approved at the Hamilton Southeastern Schools board meeting Wednesday night. Tower comes from Brownsburg High School, where he had been the Bulldogs’ athletic director since the 2018-19 school year.

Tower is a 2007 graduate of New Castle High School, then graduated from Taylor University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in biology before earning a master’s degree in educational leadership from Ball State University in 2018. He was an assistant coach for the Taylor men’s basketball team from 2011-13 and a Brownsburg assistant coach from 2013 to 2016.

Tower replaces Greg Habegger, who is retiring after 19 years as an HSE athletic director and a 34-year run at Southeastern. Habegger and Jim Self have been co-athletic directors at HSE since 2006.

“I could not be more excited to work alongside Drew Tower,” said Self.  “I have been blessed to work with Greg Habegger for the last 19 years. Greg is first class! Drew is impressive and he is going to be a great fit in the culture of HSE Athletics.”
