Raised in Anderson, Jon McLaughlin has been attracting fans with his heartfelt songwriting and impassioned delivery since his 2007 debut album, Indiana. Now the Nashville-based artist is returning to the road to celebrate the 15th anniversary, performing the album in its entirety with a full band. Opening the show will be singer-songwriter Kris Allen, winner of Season 8 of American Idol.

Known as “El Caballero de la Salsa” (“The Gentleman of Salsa”), Puerto Rican musician Gilberto Santa Rosa is one of the most successful Latin music vocalists in the world. He boasts a record-setting 12 No. 1s on Billboard’s Tropical Albums chart and was named Billboard’s Tropical Artist of the Decade in 2010. Alongside multiple Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum album certifications, other honors have included six Grammy Awards, the 2002 ASCAP Latin Heritage Award and a 2012 Lifetime Culture Achievement Award from the United Nations. He will make his Palladium debut with a 14-piece Latin band.

Printing Partners Classical Series
Pianist Wu Han, cellist David Finckel and violinist Benjamin Beilman combine their talents for an unforgettable evening of music devoted to works of legendary Austrian composer Franz Schubert. Finckel and Wu Han are recipients of Musical America’s Musician of the Year award and have served since 2004 as artistic co-directors of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Beilman has won praise for his passionate performances and rich tone, which The Washington Post called “mightily impressive,” and The New York Times described as “muscular with a glint of violence.”

Celebrated National Geographic photographer Brian Skerry has spent nearly four decades exploring and documenting Earth’s oceans. For his latest project, he turns his lens to one of the world’s most beloved animals to illuminate startling new insights into their lives and culture. Discover the extraordinary communication skills and intricate social structures among four different species of whales – from the international cuisines of orcas to families of beluga whales playing at their “summer resort” – and learn what these majestic creatures can teach us about ourselves and our planet. Take Me to the River NOLA Live features some of the most influential figures in modern New Orleans funk, R&B, soul and jazz, anchored by the city’s pre-eminent 21st-century funk-fusion export, Dumpstaphunk. Alongside original core members Tony Hall and Nick Daniels, and newcomers Alex Wasily, Ryan Nyther and Devin Trusclair, Ivan and Ian Neville (the sons of Aaron and Art Neville, respectively) have revitalized the Neville/Meters groove and built upon their family’s iconic NOLA legacy. Joining Dumpstaphunk onstage will be Crescent City musical royalty George Porter Jr. (The Meters) and funk savant Jon Cleary.

Telamon Passport Series
Grammy-winning pianist/singer/composer Eliane Elias’ distinctive musical style has emerged as one of the most unique and recognizable sounds in jazz, thanks to her Brazilian roots, alluring voice and virtuosic instrumental jazz, classical and compositional skills. Her 2019 album Love Stories received a five-star rating and was ranked among the year’s best by DownBeat. Her latest album, Mirror Mirror, which won the 2022 Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album, is a lifelong musical dream come true: an extraordinary duet recording with the late jazz great Chick Corea and famed Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés.

Join musical duo Yurtfolk to explore music, stories and folk dance from around the world. You’ll sing in different languages, dance and learn about some unusual musical instruments. Luminaries: Musician Frank Dean

Franklin-based singer-songwriter Frank Dean and his bands have opened shows for more than 60 major recording artists, including Emmylou Harris, Todd Rundgren, Merle Haggard, Marty Stuart and George Jones. Dean will share stories of his colorful life in music, musicians he has met and the music business in general. He also will perform a few songs with help from a friend, Indianapolis musician Jon Martin.

Live at the Center is a concert and livestream series featuring Indiana artists. Indianapolis native Marrialle Sellars has been performing since she was 12. While still a student at Lawrence Central High School, she won the 2012 CarmelFest talent competition and finished in the Top 20 of Season 13 of Fox’s American Idol.

The mission of the nonprofit Center for the Performing Arts is to engage and inspire the Indiana community through enriching arts experiences. Its campus includes the 1,500-seat Palladium concert hall, the 500-seat Tarkington theater and the black-box Studio Theater.
