Hamilton Southeastern (HSE) Schools will kick off the 2026-27 school year with its fifth annual Before the Bell celebration from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, 6 Municipal Drive, Fishers.
Presented by Meijer, the free event gives students, families, and community members a chance to reconnect with HSE Schools and celebrate the start of the 2026-27 school year.
“Before the Bell brings together so many of the people and organizations that make HSE Schools special,” Superintendent Dr. Matt Kegley said. “It’s a chance to celebrate our students, connect with families and begin the new school year as one community.”

Throughout the evening, student bands, choirs, cheerleaders, and dance teams will take the stage for live performances. Families can also enjoy inflatables, robotics demonstrations, face painting, bubble art, an FFA petting zoo, touch-a-bus, and other free, hands-on activities. The Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation will also offer a photo booth for families to capture a back-to-school memory.
Representatives from every HSE school will be on-site, along with staff from district departments including Food Services, School Safety, Transportation, Student Services, and Health Services. Community partners will also share information about programs and resources available to HSE students and families.
Food trucks will be available for those who would like to purchase dinner and enjoy the evening at the NPD AMP.
Before the Bell is hosted by HSE Schools with support from the Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation and Fishers Parks.
The event will take place rain or shine. If inclement weather requires the celebration to move indoors, it will be held at Fishers High School, 13000 Promise Road, at the same date and time. Updates will be shared through HSE Schools’ communication channels.
