The Noblesville Boom, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, announced on Thursday, Oct. 1, a new community partnership with Noblesville Schools and Westfield Washington Schools, strengthening the organization’s commitment to education, youth development, and community engagement throughout Hamilton County.
During the 2026-27 season, the Boom will provide educational programming and unique game-day experiences to students, educators, and families across the two school districts. Partnership elements will include dedicated school-themed nights, special ticket packages, exclusive co-branded merchandise, player appearances and autograph sessions, a Court of Dreams experience, STEM-focused educational programming, and opportunities for students to participate in pregame and halftime performances during Boom home games throughout the season.
“Our goal is to be more than a basketball team and to serve as a meaningful community partner throughout Hamilton County,” said Chris Defendis, president of business operations for the Noblesville Boom. “Sports shape kids well beyond what happens on the court, teaching lessons about teamwork, discipline, and resilience that stay with them for life. These partnerships allow us to connect directly with students, educators, and families and to use the game of basketball to inspire learning and create experiences they’ll remember. We’re excited to work alongside two outstanding school districts to make a difference for the young people in our community.”
Noblesville Schools Superintendent Dr. Dan Hile and Westfield Washington Schools Superintendent Dr. John Atha both lauded the partnership and the opportunities it presents.
“As the Boom’s home school district, we’re pleased to partner with them on these exciting opportunities for our students and families,” Hile said. “We appreciate their focus on learning, good sportsmanship, and creating strong community experiences in Noblesville.”
“This partnership with the Boom gives our students and families another great opportunity to learn, connect and celebrate together as a community,” Atha said. “It also carries a special meaning for our district. Braden Smith, a 2022 Westfield High School graduate, exemplifies what it means to be a Life Ready Shamrock through his hard work, character, and commitment to excellence. We are incredibly proud of Braden and excited to cheer him on as he represents our community with both the Indiana Pacers and the Noblesville Boom.”
As part of the partnership, Westfield Night will take place during the Boom’s home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 10, against the Iowa Wolves, while Noblesville Night will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6, against the Cleveland Charge. Additionally, both school districts will be invited to the team’s Education Day game on Wednesday, March 10, 2027, against the Greensboro Swarm, providing a STEM-focused learning experience.
The Boom’s full promotional schedule will be released at a later date. Additional details on school ticket packages, educational programming and exclusive partnership initiatives will be communicated to families through each school district as they become available.
