VAU auction & Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall returning to Cyntheanne Christian Church

Cyntheanne Christian Church, 13151 Cyntheanne Road, Fishers, will host the 17th annual Veterans & Athletes United (VAU) Auction starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7. It’s a free, family-friendly event raising funds and awareness for veterans with disabilities.

Every dollar raised at the auction – 100 percent of proceeds – goes directly to Veterans & Athletes United, an organization dedicated to supporting those who have served. Items at the auction will include baked goods, crafts, jewelry, Amish items, unique items, and handmade wood items.

The day’s centerpiece is the Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall, on public display in the church parking lot and bearing the names of service members who gave their lives in defense of the country. Visitors are invited to view the wall and read the names before or after the auction. It’s a striking, visual moment of remembrance.

“This auction is one way we can help these heroes regain some aspect of their normal lives,” Senior Minister Larry Renihan said.

This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be available.

Veterans & Athletes United is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by veterans. The organization was founded in 2013 with a focus on providing much-needed support to disabled veterans and their family members through accessible retreats and adaptive sports and recreation.
