60 works selected for HCAA’s Midwest Juried Art Exhibit

More than 200 works of art. Seventy-six artists. Just 60 pieces selected.

The Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA) announces the artists selected for its fifth annual Midwest Juried Art Exhibit, on view Sept. 4 through Oct. 31, at the HCAA Birdie Gallery in Noblesville.

This year’s juried competition drew more than 200 submissions from 76 artists, presenting the exhibit’s juror, Ball State Professor of Art David Hannon, with the challenging task of narrowing an impressive field of work to just 60 pieces for the final exhibition.

The result will bring together an exceptional collection of artwork representing the creativity, craftsmanship and perspectives of artists participating in this year’s Midwest competition.

“This year’s response demonstrates just how much extraordinary artistic talent exists throughout our region,” HCAA President Jennifer Wolfe said. “With more than 200 pieces submitted, selecting only 60 for the exhibition was no easy task for the juror. We congratulate every artist whose work was selected and look forward to sharing this remarkable collection with the community.”
