Lane & ramp closures planned for paving in Hamilton & Tipton counties

The Indiana Department of Transportation has planned lane and ramp closures on U.S. 31 in Hamilton and Tipton counties for paving.

The following closures are planned next week between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., weather permitting:

Wednesday, Aug. 26

• One lane closed on U.S. 31 southbound between 236th Street and 216th Street in Hamilton County
• 236th Street ramp to U.S. 31 southbound closed

Thursday, Aug. 27

• One lane closed on U.S. 31 northbound and southbound between 236th Street and 226th Street in Hamilton County
• S. 31 northbound ramp to 236th Street closed
• One lane closed on State Road 19 between State Road 28 and Hickory Drive in Tipton County. On-site flaggers will direct traffic.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
