STAR Financial Bank announced on Thursday, Aug. 20, a $100,000 commitment to support flood relief and recovery efforts across five Indiana counties affected by recent flooding.
The contribution will support relief organizations serving Hamilton, Marion, Delaware, Madison, and Henry counties. These funds will help provide resources to individuals, families, and communities as they recover from the damage and disruption caused by the flooding.
“Many of the communities impacted by these floods are places our customers, employees and neighbors call home,” said Jim Marcuccilli, Chairman & CEO of STAR Financial Bank. “We know recovery takes time, and we want those affected to know STAR is here to support them. STAR will distribute the contribution evenly among the organizations, with $20,000 directed to each fund:
- Hamilton County: Hamilton County Flood Relief Fund through the Hamilton County Community Foundation
- Marion County: Indianapolis Flood Relief Fund through the Indianapolis Foundation/Central Indiana Community Foundation
- Delaware County: Heart of Indiana United Way Long-Term Flood Recovery Fund
- Madison County: Heart of Indiana United Way Long-Term Flood Recovery Fund
- Henry County: Henry County Disaster Relief Fund through the Henry County Community Foundation
Each fund is focused on addressing local recovery needs and connecting assistance with residents and communities affected by the flooding.
