Anne Passage

November 6, 1932 – April 9, 2026

Elizabeth “Anne” Passage (Mills), 93, Carmel, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. She was born November 6, 1932, in Lapel, Ind., to Bill and Hallie Kerr.

Anne was a devoted woman of faith and an active member of Carmel United Methodist Church for more than 60 years, where she formed lasting friendships and faithfully served her church community. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and deeply influenced the values she instilled in her family.

An avid golfer, Anne found great joy on the course and was a long-time member of Woodland Country Club, where she enjoyed many years of friendship and fellowship. Professionally, she worked for many years at Union State Bank in Carmel, where she was admired for her dedication, warmth, and integrity.

Above all, Anne was the devoted matriarch of the Mills family. Her life was centered on caring for those she loved, and she took great pride in each generation of her family. Her home was a place of unconditional love, and she made an impression on everyone she met. She was known by friends and family for her selfless nature, abundance of energy, endless optimism, and her joyful laughter and radiant smile. She will be remembered for her gentle wisdom, strength, and unwavering support.

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her loving husbands Bill Mills, Dick Weinman, and Howard Passage.

Survivors include her children; Sally Matlock, with daughters Amy, Lori, and Jennifer; Craig Mills (wife, Susan), with children Nicholas and Taylor; Bruce Mills, with children Connor, Jordan, and Brandon; David Mills (wife, Debbie); and Scott Mills (wife, Cyndy), with daughter, Avery; and six cherished great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy in her later years.

Anne will be lovingly remembered for her grace, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family, faith, and friendship. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and the many lives she touched with kindness, laughter, and love.

Family and Friends will gather at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Carmel United Methodist Church, where the Funeral Service will begin at 4 p.m.

Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2026, at Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Anne, can be directed to Carmel United Methodist Church, 621 S. Range Line Road, Carmel, IN 46032. Envelopes will be available at service.
