The City of Carmel will play host to the inaugural He L.E.A.D.S. Men’s Wellness Breakfast, an event dedicated to fostering support, connection, and open dialogue regarding the unique challenges facing men today.
The Friday, April 24 breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m., along with check-in. The program takes place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on the third floor of the Carmel Fire Department Headquarters, 210 Veterans Way.
Hosted by the city and presented by the Rotary Club of Carmel, this initiative follows the success of the She L.E.A.D.S. women’s conference, expanding the community’s commitment to wellness and leadership development across all perspectives.
“Investing in the well-being of our residents is paramount,” Mayor Sue Finkam said. “This event will provide a vital space for connecting, sharing experiences, and prioritizing health holistically – physical, mental, financial, and spiritual. Our city is at its best when we are learning from one another.”
Ethan McAndrews, who is chair of the committee that organized the event with Mayor Finkam, added that the inspiration for the breakfast came from previous community successes.
“We saw the incredible impact of the women’s conference and knew there was an opportunity to provide a similar platform for men,” McAndrews said. “We are seeing a real increase in mental health issues among men. Our goal is to build a stronger, more connected community through open conversation and mutual support.”
This event is free to attend but registration is required via Eventbrite.
