The Noblesville girls basketball team played the early game of a girls-boys Hoosier Crossroads Conference doubleheader at Zionsville on Friday, Jan. 16.
The Millers fell to the host Eagles, 45-23.
The two have alternated wins since the 2018-19 season. Noblesville led the all-time series prior to Friday 21-6.
After a tight first quarter, Zionsville held onto a 15-11 lead through one.
After that, the Eagles were able to take advantage of the Millers shooting 22 percent from the floor and turning the ball over 17 times.
Unfortunately, the Millers were not able to get any consistency going the rest of the way, scoring 12 points to the Eagles’ 30 in the final three quarters.
Aleah Magee led Noblesville with 11 points and four rebounds. Maia Blower had five and four boards, along with Ally Hutchinson scoring four and Harper Kay came off the bench late to sink a triple.
Noblesville (7-9, 2-4 HCC) dropped its third in a row. The Millers play at home on Tuesday for the first time in 35 days when they welcome former HCC opponent Harrison.
