Several Hamilton County runners shine at Zionsville Early Bird meet

The REPORTER

The Noblesville and Fishers track and field teams competed in the Zionsville Early Bird Meet on Monday, and several young runners got the chance to shine.

This was true especially on the girls side, as three freshmen won the running events. Fishers’ Kylie Black was first in the 100 dash, the Millers’ Sophia Shields paced the 400 dash and Noblesville’s Kate Mumaw won the 1600.

In the field, Fishers senior Dajah Scott was the high jump winner, with her Tigers teammate, junior Kaelyn Heinrich taking the long jump. Millers senior Maya McDonald, a medal winner at the state swim meet, was first in the shot put.

Two Noblesville boys were event winners in that meet. Sophomore John Libs claimed the 1600 run and senior Nicholas Obuch was the 110 hurdles winner.

Results now follow with the top 10 in each event.
