Last Saturday, the Carmel boys team won the Nike XC Town Twilight meet at Terre Haute’s LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
The Greyhounds won with a team score of 192 points.
Anthony Provenzano led Camel with an eighth-place finish in 15:08.3, while Kyle Grove took 14th in 15:17.8. Thomas Biltimier was 42nd in 15:40.4.
Noblesville finished sixth as a team with 305 points. The Millers had three runners place in the top 50: Caden Click was 34th (15:33.0), Jack Strong took 36th (15:36.4) and Sam Rinker placed 45th (15:42.1).
Fishers scored 363 points to place 10th. Sam Quagliaroli was the individual runner-up, taking second in a time of 14:52.8. Matthew Kim finished 11th in 15:09.5.
Hamilton Southeastern placed 20th with 523 points; Andrew Smith was the Royals’ leading runner, placing 98th in 16:12.7.
Westfield took 44th with 1,149 points. Jack Loiselle led the Shamrocks in a time of 16:29.7, placing 156th out of 421 runners.
In the girls race, Noblesville placed second by scoring 133 points. The Millers had four runners finish in the top 50: Summer Rempe took 20th (18:20.4), Nadia Perez was 22nd (18:24.9), Ansley Applegate was 26th (18:30.0) and Kennedy Applegate placed 43rd (19:01.9).
Hamilton Southeastern took sixth with 202 points, followed by Carmel in seventh place with 207 points. Elizabeth Butler placed 21st to lead the Royals, clocking in at 18:23.4. The Greyhounds had three top 50 runners: Annabel Pollert (37th, 18:57.3), Nola Elling (42nd, 19:01.8) and Larkin Taylor (50th, 19:05.3).
Westfield was 10th with 345 points and had two top 50 runners. Liz Smith finished 18th in a time of 18:16.9, while Alivia Lozier took 36th in 18:57.2.
Guerin Catholic took 12th with 423 points; Bailey Freese led the Golden Eagles by placing 53rd in a time of 19:09.8. Fishers was 30th with 826 points; Abby Lotter led the Tigers with a time of 19:56.5, placing her 127th out of 397 runners.
