The 15th annual Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) Ghosts and Goblins 5K/2K will kick off at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Carmel High School. Costume judging, a photo booth, team pictures, music and a race warm-up will lead up to the start of the 2K at 9 a.m. followed by the 5K at 9:10 a.m.
The family-friendly event is open to all community members. Participants can choose a 5K or 2K timed course. Both courses start and end at Carmel High School at 520 E. Costumes that are school friendly and allow for easy movement and sight are welcome and encouraged – there are even prizes for individuals, pairs and teams.
Individual registration is $40 (ages 5 and over) and Carmel Clay Schools (CCS) students are $20 through Friday, Oct. 6. Prices increase to $50 ($25 for CCS students) between Oct. 7 and 19. Final registration is $65 ($45 for CCS student) on Oct. 20 and until 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 21.

About the Carmel Education Foundation
One of the oldest foundations of its kind, the Carmel Education Foundation was created to help Carmel Clay students achieve their full potential. Since 1966, the Foundation has awarded over $2,100,000 in college scholarships to Carmel High School seniors and over $850,000 in education grants to inspire lifelong learning for Carmel Clay students. The Carmel Education Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors who give their time and energy to accelerate the Foundation’s mission by funding grants, awarding more than 80 scholarships annually and expanding resources for Carmel Clay Schools.
