The Sheridan boys soccer team picked up two exciting wins to begin the week.

On Monday, the Blackhawks beat Taylor in penalty kicks to claim a Hoosier Heartland Conference victory. The final score was 1-1, with Sheridan winning the PK round 4-3.

The Titans scored the game’s first goal in the first half, but the Blackhawks came back to tie the game when Trai Fitzgerald scored off a Carsen Aleman assist. Carsen Aleman made Sheridan’s first PK, then Jackson Aleman, Evan Krakora and Donovan Aleman-Lewis followed that by making their kicks. The Titans missed a final kick, and that finished the game.

The ‘Hawks followed that up with a 4-0 win over North Montgomery on Tuesday. Aleman-Lewis scored the first goal early, with Carsen Aleman putting in the second goal before halftime.

Sheridan’s defense tightened up in the second half, and Spencer made eight saves to earn his first career shutout. Meanwhile, senior Tyler Garner scored a goal, then Carsen Aleman put in his second goal of the game.
