Carolyn June (Redick) Bardonner, 95, Arcadia, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at Wellbrooke of Westfield.
Carolyn was born September 4, 1930, to James Vernon Redick and Rose (Ault) Redick, east of Noblesville. Carolyn graduated from Jackson Central High School in 1948. She married John Bardonner in 1952. Upon graduation, Carolyn went to work at American United Life Insurance Company. She later was employed at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and also at the Noblesville Clerk Treasurer’s Office.
She was a member of Arcadia Emanuel Lutheran Church and had served on the Board of Education for the church and Ladies Aid, as well as various community organizations. She was also part owner of Sugar and Spice Boutique in Atlanta and Bent Iron Shop, Arcadia. Carolyn enjoyed golfing, bowling, painting, bingo, line dancing, working crosswords, collecting glassware and antiques, Red Hats, birdwatching, and watching Colts and Indiana Fever games.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters and brothers: Herman Redick, James Herbert “Bob” Redick, Earl Redick, Erma Parker, and May Cook.
Surviving her is daughter Dorinda (Dan) Lawson; grandchildren Karen (Kevin) Benson, Jonathan (Abby) Lawson, and Haley Lawson; great-grandchildren Conner Benson and Bennett Lawson; and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn’s family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the amazing staff and caregivers at Home Instead, Autumnwood, Wellbrooke of Westfield, and St. Croix Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, August 7 at Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Home in Cicero. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jerrell Simmerman officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Arcadia Emanuel Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 321, Arcadia, IN 46030; or the American Cancer Society.
