The Westfield Library Foundation (WLF) will host a month-long student art exhibit at the Westfield Washington Public Library featuring 55 pieces of artwork created by students from seven Westfield schools.
Participating schools include Maple Glen Elementary, Shamrock Springs Elementary, Carey Ridge Elementary, Washington Woods Elementary, Monon Trail Elementary, Oak Trace Elementary, and Westfield Intermediate School.
The exhibit, on display throughout March on the Michael and Karen Heaton Art Gallery Wall, highlights the creativity and talent of young artists across the district.

“Our library is a place for stories in every form,” WLF Executive Director Erin Downey said. “Featuring student artwork celebrates imagination, builds confidence, and reminds our young artists that their voices and creativity are an important part of this community.”
Jessica Coleman, Maple Glen Art Teacher, said the experience is meaningful for students.
“Our students are always incredibly excited to share their artwork,” Coleman said. “We hope visitors enjoy seeing the talent and imagination in these young artists as much as we enjoy helping them bring their ideas to life.”
Community members are encouraged to visit the Westfield Washington Public Library throughout March to view the exhibit and support Westfield’s student artists.
