Powell
Westfield Mayor Scott Willis has endorsed Tipton County Commissioner Tracey Powell for Indiana State Senate District 21 ahead of the May 5 Republican primary.
“I’ve spent most of my life living in District 21, and Tracey Powell has the experience, the values, and the work ethic that our communities need in the State Senate,” Mayor Willis said. “I have seen firsthand how Tracey approaches public service, and I am confident he will be a strong voice for the people of this district. I endorse him for State Senate, and I hope that the residents of District 21 will join me in voting for him on May 5.”
Mayor Scott Willis is a long-time leader in Westfield. He led the Westfield GOP Club, and later served on the City Council from 2020 to 2023. “Mayor Willis is the kind of leader who has delivered real results for his community, and his support means everything to me,” Powell said. “I am grateful for his endorsement and energized to keep building the coalition that will take us to victory in May.”

Mr. Powell may be an okay guy, but the residents of Westfield and the rest of Senate District 21 need someone that cares more about the opinions and interests of the permanent citizens of Indiana than the wishes of the temporary occupant of the White House.
Mr. Powell was indorsed, if not chosen, because he’ll obey a non-Hoosier rather than the requests of Senate District 21 voters. (As I am.)
I voted in my first Republican Primary at age 17 fifty years ago and I take a backseat to no one on caring about advancing the economic and social Republican policies that has driven Indiana to be best state to raise a family, grow a business and contribute to the general weal.
There may be a political future for Mr. Powell, but not now. Sorry.
