What would you ask a living legend?

Clerical Error Productions’ first show of 2024 combines the golden age of Hollywood and the golden age of television with Call Me Kate: Katharine Hepburn Tells It Like It Is.

Inspired by her 1973 TV interview with Dick Cavett, the play recreates a live television broadcast, capturing the Hollywood legend at her wittiest and most reflective. The second act includes a brief Q&A to allow the audience to become part of the show and ask the star about her fascinating life, famous loves, and an esteemed career that spanned six decades.

The play will stage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24, and in a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Feb. 25. All performances will be at The Brick Room, 942 Maple Ave., Noblesville.

Call Me Kate: Katharine Hepburn Tells It Like It Is was written by Kate Duffy, who also plays the title role. Blake Mellencamp appears as interviewer Dick Cavett, and Jon Lindley directs.

A Mass Ave. and IndyFringe favorite since 2018, Clerical Error Productions is an Indianapolis based 501(c)(3) nonprofit theatre company specializing in original comedy, vaudeville, and production assistance.

Tickets for Call Me Kate: Katharine Hepburn Tells It Like It Is will be available on the Clerical Error Productions website, clericalerrorproductions.com, and The Brick Room website thebrickroomcomedyclub.godaddysites.com.
