The Christkindlmarkt may have concluded its season, but the winter fun continues at The Ice at Carter Green, sponsored by Allied Solutions.
Beginning today and through Feb. 29, the hours are as follows:
- Monday to Wednesday: Closed but available for private rentals
- Thursdays: 4 to 8 p.m.
- Fridays: 3:30 to 9 p.m.
- Saturdays and Sundays: 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Jan. 15: Open for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Feb. 19: Open for Presidents’ Day, 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Skating Session Costs
- Youth / Adult Admission & Skate Rental (Ages 11+) $15
- Youth / Adult Admission No Skate Rental (Ages 11+) $11
- Children Admission & Skate Rental (Ages 10 & under) $13
- Children Admission No Skate Rental (Ages 10 & under) $9
Skating sessions are 90 minutes long unless otherwise noted on the skate session calendar.
Special Events
The Festival of Ice will take place Jan. 19 to 21, featuring professional ice-carving demonstrations, a carving competition, speed carving and the annual Carmel Fire Department chili cook-off.
Complimentary hot chocolate courtesy of 1832 Brew Espresso Bar and Metronet: 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19 on Main Street, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 at Carter Green.
Extended hours and activities: Saturday, Jan. 20 at Carter Green activities, food and drink vendors and a DJ will be on site to celebrate the launch of the latest Palladiscope show, “Frost.”

The Carmel Winter Games are set for Feb. 9 and 10. The Games take center stage on the ice with non-skating competitions featuring human hungry hippo, human curling, and ice trike relays.
- Friday, Feb. 9: Cheer on the Hometown Heroes competition between various City of Carmel departments.
- Saturday, Feb. 10: Teams from the community consisting of family, friends and co-workers will square off for a day of competitive winter fun.

Enjoy Sensory Skate Days on Jan. 23 and Feb. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. These sensory-friendly events are especially designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, or any type of special need. These sessions are free. This event is brought to you by the Carmel Advisory Committee on Disability.
