Sheridan wrestling places sixth at conference meet

Sheridan placed sixth at the Hoosier Heartland Conference wrestling meet, which took place last Saturday at Clinton Central.

The Blackhawks scored 138 team points; Rossville won the meet with 218.5 points. Sheridan had three wrestlers finish as runners-up in their respective weight classes: Alex Cravens took second at 150 pounds, Ryker Ream was the 165 runner-up and Zach Bales placed second at 175.

Carsen Aleman was third at 285, while Pablo Mendez took fourth at 138 and Eli Bales was fifth at 157. Six other Blackhawks finished sixth: Aiden Todd (120), Caleb Alexander (126), Trai Fitzgerald (132), Hayden Alexander (144), Jaden Dunbar (195) and Timmy Vyner (215).

Sheridan competes in the Frankfort sectional this coming Saturday.
