Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School (PBT School) invites ballet students ages 12 to 23 from the Noblesville area to audition on Sunday, Jan. 25 for the 2026 Intensive Summer Program.
This year, PBT School will launch new, more flexible options for its summer programs. To accommodate family needs, PBT School will split its summer sessions into three different timeframes and will offer more options for varying levels of commitment and availability. Dancers can audition for the following PBT School summer programs:
Intensive Summer Program (Ages 12-23)
- FULL 5-Week Program: June 22-July 25, 2026
- 3-Weeks: June 22-July 11, 2026
- 2-Weeks: July 13-25, 2026
Company Experience (Ages 16+)
- SESSION 1: June 8-18, 2026
- SESSION 2: July 13-24, 2026
- Or enroll in both sessions from June 8-July 24, 2026
“I’m delighted to offer these new summer ballet program options for students and families in 2026,” said Raymond Rodriguez, Dean of PBT School. “We hope that the additional options and shorter program sessions will enable families to not only support their students’ dance aspirations, but also enjoy quality family time together.”
PBT School offers an outstanding experience for ballet students looking to improve their technique, expand their artistry and performance skills, and learn from expert instructors in the field of ballet. PBT School is committed to:
- Providing ballet education and training of the highest caliber that prepares students for professional careers in dance
- Developing the technique and artistry of each dancer
- Structuring programming and resources to support the health of the whole dancer and nurturing them into creative, confident, and well-rounded individuals who thrive
PBT School will travel to 24 U.S. cities in its 2026 National Audition Tour. A video audition option is also available and due on April 30, 2026. PBT School invites ballet students ages 10-23 to sign up for auditions at danceapply.com.
Audition Information
Registration is open from now until the day before the audition at 9 a.m. Please note that all dancers must pre-register to attend an audition. The audition fee is $50. The audition lasts approximately two hours. Students should arrive 30 minutes before the audition. Register for the audition here.
Noblesville auditions for PBT’s Intensive Summer Program and Company Experience will be held at En Pointe Indiana Ballet, 15309 Stony Creek Way. Audition time is 2 p.m. (please arrive 30 minutes early).
Auditions for the Youth Summer Intensive for ages 10-14 will not be held in Noblesville, but students may submit auditions online. More information about all of the PBT School auditions can be found here.
The Intensive Summer Program (ISP)
Ages 12-23
The Intensive Summer Program (ISP) offers three enrollment options from June 22-July 25, 2026:
- FULL 5-Weeks: June 22-July 25
- 3-Weeks: June 22-July 11
- 2-Weeks: July 13-25
PBT’s ISP program focuses on three core aspects:
- Training: It features resident instructors and guest artists who have been dancers with American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, among others. Classes offered in the wide-ranging curriculum include ballet technique, partnering, repertoire, character and modern. ISP students attend more than 30 hours of classes each week
- Wellness: PBT School also structures programming and resources to support the health of the whole dancer. Working closely with members of the University of Pittsburgh Sports Medicine and other experts in the Pittsburgh area, PBT School wellness programs emphasize injury prevention, mental health, nutrition, conditioning and more. PBT’s priority is to ensure that each dancer not only trains but thrives.
- Connection: At PBT School, a balance between life in and out of the studio is crucial for ISP students. From our location in the vibrant Strip District in the heart of Pittsburgh, we support our students in fostering relationships with their peers and making the city their home by exploring all it has to offer.

The Company Experience
Ages 16+
The Company Experience program offers two different sessions from June 8-July 24, 2026:
- SESSION 1: June 8-18
- SESSION 2: July 13-24
- Enroll in both sessions, June 8-July 24, 2026
It offers a select group of pre-professional dancers ages 16 and up the chance to preview the daily life of a professional company artist. Students will train six days a week, learning classical, new and contemporary works choreographed by Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre dancers and artistic staff. Over the course of the program, Company Experience dancers gain the skills they need to move confidently into their futures as professional dancers. More information can be found here.
PBT School’s Youth Summer Intensive
Ages 10-14
PBT School’s Pre-professional program offers three enrollment options from June 22-July 17, 2026:
- FULL 4-Weeks: June 22-July 17
- SESSION 1: June 22-July 3
- SESSION 2: July 6-17
Students ages 10-14 enjoy an immersive training program led by PBT School faculty and guest instructors. Dancers build upon their training and grow their artistry through a wide variety of classes and instruction. This is an excellent program for young dancers looking to train more seriously in the summer as they take the next steps on their ballet journey. More information can be found here.
