Northwest Bank sponsored Welcoming Week at Hamilton East Public Library, which is a time dedicated to celebrating the vibrant, multicultural community in Fishers through a series of events happening through Sept. 21.

Northwest Bank Financial Center Manager Michael Connors presented Lisa Longo, Hamilton East Public Library foundation director, with a $2,500 check to support the Welcoming Week events including Dance Around the World: A Global Dance Showcase which will feature West African, Indian, Latvian, and Mexican folk performances from local dance groups.

“At Northwest, we’re the bank where people make the difference,” Connors said. “Sponsoring Welcoming Week is just one way we help strengthen our community by celebrating everyone who lives and works in Fishers.”

“We are grateful to Northwest for this generous contribution and their ongoing partnership in the community,” Longo said. “Welcoming Week brings people of all backgrounds together to build meaningful connections and emphasize the importance of welcoming everyone.”

This sponsorship is part of Northwest’s continued support of the Fishers community following the opening of a new full-service financial center in June across the street from the library.
