Mary Kennedy, 76, Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on March 4, 1950 in Marietta, Ga.
Mary received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and was an English teacher for many years at Clinton Central and Central Catholic School in Lafayette. She was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church. Mary enjoyed reading, watching movies, and was active in the local theaters in Noblesville and Indianapolis. She also volunteered with the jail ministry and was a substitute teacher for Noblesville Schools.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph H. Kennedy; son, Joseph R. (Brie Taylor) Kennedy; grandchild, Harper Heather Kennedy; sister, Gail Williams; brother, James Evans, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Cindy Smith and Susan Kennedy; brother-in-law, John (Beth) Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Evans; and mother, Mary Lee (Castile) Evans.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., Noblesville. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
