Indiana Tech started in Fort Wayne as an engineering college nearly 100 years ago, in 1930. Today, the university continues to educate students on its campus in Fort Wayne, as well as online students worldwide. It is a private, not-for-profit university accredited by The Higher Learning Commission.

Military and veteran students can find quality online postsecondary education at Indiana Tech, with more than 100 online programs ranging from certificates to associate and bachelor’s degrees, and doctoral programs, as well. For active military service members of all branches, Indiana Tech offers a tuition price of $250 per credit hour, up to the cost of Tuition Assistance. Indiana Tech also offers military scholarships to military and veteran students and their spouses, as well as civilian employees of the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Veterans Affairs. Child of Disabled Veterans scholarships are available for any dependent who graduated high school after 2023.

In addition to special military tuition pricing and scholarships, Indiana Tech is an approved Workforce Ready Grant institution. The university was the first four-year academic institution in the state to be approved for the Workforce Ready Grant under Indiana’s Next Level Jobs initiative. This means qualified students can earn an undergraduate certificate from Indiana Tech at no cost, thanks to the Workforce Ready Grant funding.

“Our industry-focused undergraduate certificates are designed to help students build the skills and knowledge they need to be ready for the jobs of the future,” said Dr. Steve Herendeen, Senior Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management at Indiana Tech. “We’re pleased to continue to receive funding for this program. It’s exciting to see so many students advance their skills and their careers, thanks to the Workforce Ready Grant and the Next Level Jobs program.”
