It did not feature The Marcels, but this Parks festival was a great time for all

May 31 was, in fact, the only Blue Moon in 2026. A Blue Moon is the second full moon in a single calendar month. In celebration, Hamilton County Parks & Recreation held its “Once in a Blue Moon Market” last Saturday, May 29, at the Taylor Center of Natural History. The Blue Moon Market featured local artists with handmade items for purchase (some even Blue Moon-themed). Attendees also local food vendors and music. Local astronomer Dr. Doug Balogh offered educational information about the moon and viewing opportunities of the summer night sky.
