Hamilton Heights School Corporation had the honor of hosting the 130th annual meeting of the Northern Indiana Superintendent’s Club (NISC) last week. The day-long networking event included a variety of activities to highlight the corporation and the district’s communities of Arcadia, Cicero, Atlanta and Jackson and White River townships.

Members in attendance this year represented over 20 school districts. Tours included new construction and recent additions to the corporation, a visit to Mr. Muffin’s Trains in Atlanta, a luncheon ride aboard the Nickel Plate Express, and an up-close and personal trip to see some of the behind-the-scenes operations at Beck’s Hybrids, the largest family-owned retail seed company in the United States. The day concluded with dinner and music featuring pianist and Hamilton Heights High School student Nicholas Rice.

“As we highlighted the many great programs and facility upgrades taking place throughout our corporation, showcasing our community, and catching up with colleagues near and far, I found myself feeling very proud to be a member of the Northern Indiana Superintendent Club, but even more proud of being Superintendent of Hamilton Heights School Corporation,” said Arrowood. “It was an honor to host this special group of school leaders who took a day out of their very busy schedules to spend the day here and see firsthand why northern Hamilton County is a great place to live, work, and play.”
