Browning Investments and Dora Hotel Company unveiled the design renderings for the new Hotel Nickel Plate, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel set to break ground this fall in Fishers.
The renderings were approved as part of the Nickel Plate Review Committee. The previously announced project developed by Browning and Dora Hotel Company will bring a five-story, 116-room high-end boutique hotel to Fishers’ downtown Nickel Plate District. The Hotel Nickel Plate will feature a full-service restaurant and bar on the first floor, along with access to the Nickel Plate Trail.
Drawing inspiration from the historical setting of the hotel, the design pays homage to the Nickel Plate Railroad. Hotel Nickel Plate will maintain its individual spirit, offering guests an experience that is approachable and familiar as well as different from other hotels in the area.
The hotel is part of a master development by Browning announced in December 2018, which includes the new six-story, 180,000 square-foot First Internet Bank headquarters, Nickel Plate Station, a 237-unit multi-family development constructed in partnership with CRG Residential featuring first-floor retail and resident amenities, and the rehabilitation of legacy buildings in downtown Fishers.
The Fishers City Council approved incentives to the developer for the construction of the hotel during its December 2019 meeting.
The Nickel Plate District is part of the Fishers 2040 comprehensive plan which reimagines Fishers’ downtown area as a sustainable, pedestrian-friendly, downtown city core where residents and visitors live, work, and play.
