Dear Editor:
I am writing in support of candidate Mr. Sheldon Barnes.
Here in Carmel, we often talk of how diversity is our greatest strength, yet when push comes to shove, we rarely back it up. He is the only candidate that personifies “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.”
After almost two years of community discord and acrimony, both sides of the political discourse can only field candidates that look and sound the same. Isn’t that ironic?
Of course, we all want academic excellence and transparency from our school board. This ought to be a given. But what does that really mean?
We never hear how that actually will be enacted. Sheldon Barnes can unite us through his “one team” platform – a campaign promise to listen to all stakeholders in the community.
On Nov. 8, vote Sheldon Barnes for District 1!
