Bethel L. Hale, 86, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at St. Vincent Fishers. She was born on July 30, 1935, to Lawrence and Lilly (Castle) Story Sr. in Lawrenceburg, Tenn.
For 12 years, Bethel worked as a health care assistant at Riverview Hospital. She enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling.
Bethel is survived by her daughters, Judy A. Matherly Mundell and Bethel K. Laster; brother, Bill Story; sister, Blanche (Bud) Taylor; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Hale, in 1985; son, Ronald Leo Matherly; brother, Lawrence W. Story Jr.; and her grandson, Ronald Matherly.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with Pastor Darrell Jones officiating. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
