Every year, the Carmel Fire Department (CFD) parks its fire trucks in front of local schools with lights flashing as a friendly reminder to all drivers that school is back in session and to slow down in school zones.
This year, something extra special happened.
One of CFD’s youngest firefighters was assigned to a school where by pure coincidence his mom is a teacher. When she saw him standing proudly by the truck, she ran out to give him a big hug. Naturally, the rest of the crew had a phone ready to capture the sweet moment/
A mom, a teacher, and now the proud parent of a firefighter.
