Alwilda Frances (Snider) Harding

January 13, 1927 – October 16, 2019

Alwilda Frances (Snider) Harding, 92, Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at her residence.

She was born in Hancock County on January 13, 1927, one of 12 daughters born to Earl and Daisy (Wilson) Snider. She married Chet Harding on May 24, 1945, and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1996.

Survivors include children, John Harding (wife Janice), Shelbyville, Bill Harding (wife Elaine), Westfield, Janice Kuhn (husband Bruce), Waldron, Richard Harding, Columbus, Mona Spalding (husband Dan), Shelbyville, and Mike Harding (wife Beth) St. Paul; sisters, Vivian Walker (husband Bill), Greenfield, Jean Robinson, Dayton, Tenn., and June Browning (husband Fred), Mt. Summit; brother-in-law, Elmer Logan, New Castle; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse; sisters, Kathryn Gray, Beulah Hess, Mary Caudill, Judy Baldock, Carolyn Monroe, Ann Logan, Gladys Snider and Mildred Snider; grandson, Benjamin Harding; and granddaughter, Rachel Harding.

For the past 10 years she had been lovingly cared for by her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Ed and Jamie Kuhn and family. They would also like to thank great-granddaughter-in-law Brooke Duvelius for her loving care.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Lewis Creek Baptist Church, 1400 E. 600 S., Waldron, IN 46182, with Pastors Harvey Taylor and Cliff Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be observed from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the church.
