Many Democratic office holders, candidates, and their supporters came together Friday evening at the Hamilton County Democratic Party headquarters in Carmel, located at 182 W. Carmel Drive.

The event concluded the Contract with Women tour, a statewide effort calling on all Democrats, Republicans, and Independents to sign a pledge to the state’s women and girls to put them and their futures first. More than 50 Democratic candidates and elected officials across Indiana have signed the Contract with Women. The number of voters who signed across the state had not been tabulated as of press time.

Speakers at Friday’s event included ZeNai Brooks (candidate for Indiana Auditor), Destiny Wells (candidate for Indiana Secretary of State), JD Ford (Indiana State Senator, District 29), Josh Lowry (candidate for Indiana State Senate District 21), Jocelyn Vare (candidate for Indiana Senate District 31), Joey Mayer (candidate for Indiana House District 24), Victoria Garcia Wilburn (candidate for Indiana House District 32), Matt McNally (candidate for Indiana House District 39), and Indiana Democratic Party Chair Mark Schmuhl.
