USPS holding ‘aggressive’ hiring fair this weekend

USPS is hosting a two-day job fair this weekend and is aggressively hiring to fill positions throughout Indianapolis and the surrounding area. As part of its 10-year plan, “Delivering for America,” the Postal Service is focused on building a more stable and empowered workforce.

The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 at the Indianapolis Main Post Office, 125 W. South St., Indianapolis.

The Postal Service has immediate openings in Indianapolis and surrounding counties for the following positions:

  • Letter Carrier: $21.19/hour
  • Tractor Trailor Operator: $28.74/hour
  • Motor Vehicle Operator: $24.91/hour
  • City Carrier Assistant: $18.92/hour
  • Mail Handler Assistant: $17.32/hour
  • Postal Support Employee: $19.12/hour
  • Rural Carrier Associate: $19.06/hour
  • Assistant Rural Carrier: $19.06/hour
