Let your dad have his day at CIVV Father’s Day Car Show

You’ll find Cadillacs, Buicks, Chevys, Studebakers, Triumphs, and maybe even a Mack Fire Engine at the Central Indiana Vintage Vehicles Father’s Day Car Show at Forest Park in Noblesville. (Photos provided)

Central Indiana Vintage Vehicles (CIVV) will hold its 31st annual Father’s Day Car Show from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 19 at Forest Park in Noblesville.

This is a rain-or-shine show with the focus on showing cars, having fun, raising money for charity, and providing a unique entertainment alternative for all dads to enjoy on “their day.” The show will take place on grass and in the shade. There is no walking and standing on sweltering, sun-soaked blacktop for participants or visitors.

Proceeds from the show will go to The Elysian Foundation to benefit the residents of Normal Life of Sheridan, a home-based care program for those with severe brain injuries.

Pre-registration has closed but registering your vehicle the day of the show still costs only $10. Registration will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, and awards will be given by 2:30 p.m.

To enter your vehicle into the show, it must have been built prior to 1997 and/or be customized or altered in some way. Awards will be given for Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Paint, and Best Engine. An additional 10 awards will be given with “winners” determined by drawing 10 numbers from among all entries.

Besides great automobiles, visitors to the Father’s Day Car Show will enjoy music from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, door prizes, 50/50 drawings, a playground, swimming pool, miniature golf, hiking trails and more. The first 200 entries will receive dash plaques. Food and soft drinks will be available.

CIVV is not responsible for thefts or accidents. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in Forest Park. No boom boxes or loud music will be permitted.
