Teter Farm Fest & Twilight 5K promise end-of-summer fun for the whole family

Families looking for a last summer celebration will have the opportunity to enjoy an evening of fun while supporting a meaningful cause at Teter Organic Farm’s second annual Farm Fest & Twilight 5K on Saturday, Aug. 15.

The festival will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at Teter Organic Farm, 10980 E. 221st St., Noblesville, and will feature live music, food trucks, Conner Prairie’s farm petting zoo, local vendors and exhibitors, inflatables, children’s activities, hayrides, photo opportunities, and meet-and-greets with the farm’s bees and chickens. Admission is free for children.

The event serves as a fundraiser for Teter Organic Farm, a nonprofit dedicated to providing fresh, organically grown food to families experiencing food insecurity while promoting ecological education throughout the community.

Teter Retreat and Organic Farm is a ministry of Noblesville First United Methodist Church committed to creating equitable and sustainable opportunities for all people, regardless of race, creed, socioeconomic status, gender, physical ability, or orientation. Inspired by the legacy of the Teter family, the farm works to increase access to healthy food, strengthen community relationships and promote environmental stewardship.

Situated on eight acres of Certified Organic farmland, Teter Organic Farm grows more than 40 varieties of organic produce and flowers. The farm believes that healthy food has the power to nourish both people and the planet while helping build a more sustainable and equitable food system.

The evening will also feature the Teter Twilight 5K Run/Walk for the Honey, beginning at 7 p.m. Check-in will be held from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. The cross-country style 5K follows wooded trails along the scenic White River, offering participants the option to run, jog or walk. Families, children, and even leashed dogs are welcome to participate.

The race will be professionally timed. Participants will receive a commemorative jar of honey while supplies last. Medals will be awarded to the top male, female, and youth finishers, while the overall winner will receive a week’s share of fresh vegetables from the farm.

Proceeds from both the Farm Fest and the Twilight 5K directly support Teter Organic Farm’s mission. According to the organization, every dollar donated provides approximately three and a half servings of fresh food to food-insecure families in Hamilton County.

Festival admission is $20 for the first adult and $10 for the second adult. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are also available.
