Local housing market sees increase in home sales

As the summer homebuying season gets underway, the central Indiana housing market continued to show healthy activity in May, marked by rising pending sales, increased inventory, and stable home prices, according to F.C. Tucker Company, part of the Howard Hanna family of companies.

The Noblesville and Hamilton County market saw the following changes in May 2026:

Noblesville

  • Closed home sales increased 18.8 percent compared to May 2025, with 18 additional homes leaving the market.
  • The median home sale price was $425,000, increasing by 2.9 percent compared to this time last year.
  • Homes remained on the market four days longer than in May 2025, selling in 13 days.

Hamilton County

  • Pended home sales increased 13.4 percent year-over-year.
  • Available housing inventory increased by 1.7 percent
  • The median home sale price was $464,000, a 0.5 percent increase compared to this time last year and the highest year-to-date median home sale price in central Indiana.
  • Homes in Hamilton County spent two more days on the market than this time last year, selling in nine days.
