After helping the Carmel girls tennis team to a state championship, the Greyhounds doubles duo of Madison Littell and Gabby Hall have a chance for another medal this week.

The Carmel seniors will play in the IHSAA doubles tournament, which takes place this weekend at Park Tudor. Six doubles teams from across the state will battle for the championship.

Littell and Hall are the top seeds and received a bye into the Saturday semifinals. They will play the winner of Friday’s match between Bishop Chatard seniors Aidan Mahaney and Samantha Paberz and Fort Wayne Snider seniors Tatum Miguel and Hannah Henry.

The Jasper team of senior Adaysha Smiley and sophomore Stella Knies also received a bye into the semifinals. They will play the winner of the other Friday quarterfinal match, this one between the Lake Central team of sophomore Lyla Hurey and freshman Katelyn Pepkowski and Silver Creek sophomores Meredith Conkin and KeShauna Lankford.

The semifinals begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the winners playing for the state championship at 2 p.m.
