Hamilton Southeastern dropped a 12-2, six-inning Hoosier Crossroads Conference game Thursday at Avon.
The Royals scored the game’s first run, with Parker O’Steen batting in Jackson Bixler in the first inning. But the Orioles put up eight runs in the fourth inning to take control of the game. Bixler stole home plate in the fifth inning for Southeastern’s second run.
O’Steen finished with two hits.
The Royals are 4-2 in conference play and 9-4 overall. Southeastern plays at Lapel on Saturday.

Sheridan fell to Delphi 13-2 in a five-inning home Hoosier Heartland Conference game on Thursday.
After the first two innings were scoreless, the Oracles scored nine runs in the third inning and added two more runs in the fourth and fifth. The Blackhawks scored their runs in the third inning: Braelan Bochner tripled in Atticus Clayton, then scored on an error.
Bochner and Brayden Whisman each had one hit for Sheridan.
The Blackhawks are 1-1 in the conference and 4-6 overall. Sheridan hosts Tipton Saturday.
