Rhonda Lynn Overdorf (McGill), born on the 16th of March, 1960, in Tipton, passed away in the arms of her husband.
This loving, resilient, and reliable woman was deeply dedicated to her family, a trait that was intrinsic to her character. She was a woman who held family and marriage at the heart of everything she did, her unwavering devotion evident in her 46 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Wade Overdorf. Rhonda was a woman of great strength and resilience who faced life’s challenges with grace and determination.
Rhonda, a passionate homemaker, took joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cultivated a love for books, gardening, cooking, and enjoying the tranquility of her yard from her favorite lawn chair. Despite her quiet demeanor, her passion for life was evident in everything she did. Rhonda worked as an OBGYN assistant, sharing her healing touch with others, before dedicating 20 years of her life to Beck’s Hybrids. She lived out West for 16 years, soaking in the beauty of the landscape, before returning to Cicero. Rhonda’s dedication to her family and her work was a testament to her strength and perseverance.
Rhonda leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. She is survived by her devoted husband, Wade Overdorf; her loving parents, Ronald and Beverly McGill; her children, Stephen (Dulcie) Overdorf, Allen (Bethany) Overdorf, Joseph (Cassie) Overdorf, Elizabeth (Justin) Davis, and Rachel (Drew) Netherton; as well as her cherished 13 grandchildren.
Rhonda was a unique and quiet person who will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Please join us in celebrating Rhonda’s life on from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
