Heights High School Drama Department to present “Shrek Jr. The Musical”

The community is cordially invited to enjoy Hamilton Heights High School Drama Department’s production of Shrek Jr. The Musical, where beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and the hit Broadway musical, this family-friendly show brings humor, heart, and a fresh twist to a beloved story.

Everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and reclaim his swamp – discovering along the way that true beauty comes from within. Part romance and part delightfully twisted fairytale, Shrek Jr. delivers big laughs and a powerful message for audiences of all ages.

The musical is directed by Brooks Myers, Hamilton Heights Theater teacher and Drama Club Sponsor, with Jill Walker, assistant director and Choir teacher. There are three performances only: 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27 and 28, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1. Tickets are $6 and may be purchased online in advance or at the door.

All proceeds from this swamp-tacular show benefit the High School Drama Department. Hamilton Heights High School is located at 25802 State Road 19, Arcadia.
