These cars run entirely on volunteerism

The weather gods were kind and the carburetor gods were pleased on Labor Day in Cicero during the annual car show at Red Bridge Park, 697 W. Jackson St. This year, while we are bringing you a handful of car photos, we wanted to highlight the people who made this event possible. No community event can happen without the time, patience, attention to detail, and heart for service exhibited by the volunteers behind the scenes. Most of them don’t even want recognition; they just wanted everyone to come to Red Bridge Park, see hundreds of fine automobiles, and enjoy the holiday. To all of the volunteers and community leaders who gave up their holiday: “Thank you for everything you do.”

  1. Always irritating when I learn there was a car show nearby that I missed, I actually googled Labor Day Car Show near me on Monday, nothing!?

    • Show is held every Labor Day in Cicero. Plan for next year’s 35th annual red Bridge Park Carshow
